Conference preregistration fee is $10.00.
It costs $12.00 at the door.

Please ask your providers, and local collaborative, if their offices will give scholarships to attend the Consumer Wellness Conference.

Registration at the door opens at 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday September 23.

Call for Theme & Tracks Ideas


The 2009 New Mexico Consumer Wellness Conference Planning Committee wants *your* ideas for the theme of our '09 CWC.

The themes for past years have been:
Recovery: The Resurrected Self.(2006)
Join the Recovery Revolution!(2007)
Recovery: Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow (2008)

We are also looking for ideas for subtopics(tracks) of recovery that consumers are interested in. Previous tracks include:

2006: Peer Specialty, Spirituality in Recovery, Creativity in Recovery
2007: Advocacy:Using Your Voice,
Art in Recovery, Employment
2008: Our Stories, Exploring Self Esteem, Self-Advocacy

Basics and Timeline


Registration costs $10 in advance, $12 at the door.
The three educational tracks are "Our Stories,"
"Exploring Self-Esteem" and "Self-Advocacy."
The workshops will be starting at 9:30, running 90 minutes each,
until 4:30 on Wednesday and until 3:00 on Thursday.
Lunch breaks from 11-1 both days.
Noon Wednesday is the keynote.
Thursday noon is the Doctors' Panel.
Wednesday evening is Open Mic...
into the night with a live band and dancing.
Thursday at 3:15 is a presentation about therapy dogs.
The conference closes with the raffle by 4:30 Thursday.

to address suffering, loss and brokenness;

to find our identities separate from traditional services;
to reclaim power and responsibility;
to connect with our own unique selves;
to exercise personal freedom and self-expression;
to gain mastery, amazement and acceptance;
to focus on the strengths, talents and insights of each other;
to celebrate genuine connectedness.
